So I did another version of my last bit of art - with a rather larger volume of quotation. And here's why: I have a tradition of putting up bits of art behind the window on my front door, to keep people from peeking in too easily. And while Shakespeare is nice, Pratchett is a lot more accessible to the common man and just as brilliant in his way.

Sooo... yeah.

*lights a flamethrower*

This guy is my idol- he's the one who got me seriousy thinking about my writing and wanting to improve, and why I'm one day gonna finish my stories and have them published.

One day.

Writing more stories is more important than finishing the ones you've got :)

I think of three pages of the most awesome idea ever- until the next one, of course. I write it down and then loose my insperation for it, overtaken by another idea. My Dad's got the same problem- we can't finish anything.

I've only read one of his books (The Wee Free Men), I keep meaning to get around to reading some others, they really do look good... I just dunno where to start, since there's so many!

Well the books all work individually, of course, though you get more out of them if you do them chronologically. They're also arranged into series, depending on who is the main character. So I'd say continue with the Tiffany Aching-books first - Hat Full of Sky, Wintersmith, I Shall Wear Midnight. After that, maybe do the Vimes-series - Guards! Guards!, Feet of Clay, Men at Arms, Night Watch, Thud! and so on. Or else the Death and Susan Sto-Helit series - Mort, Soul Music, Hogfather, Thief of Time.

Once you're sort of more into it, maybe go for some of the really early books and the Rincewind and Unseen University-series.

Seriously, Terry Pratchett is my life. I have read almost all of his books. I truly am glad to see someone else who obviously loves his stuff, too. Thank you. Made my day.
