Jack: "... sooo... you're gonna go back to praying then?"
Priest puts down the chest.
Priest: "Well, yes. I must finish my rites before sundown."
Jack: "Right. Of course. Because otherwise your kind and benevolent gods will roast your soul in hellfire. I get it."
Priest: "Oh, nothing so extreme as that. But they are important. Our Prophet said: 'By devotion alone is a man's soul made clean'."
Jack, not really listening: "Yeah. Devotion. Sure."

Jack stands around, restless, as the priest does his rites and prays.

Scene: Same same
Barkeep, coming into the kitchen: "Well, sounds like you'll be washing m'dishes for a WHILE, friend."
Jack: "No no no no no! I know where to find money!"
Barkeep: "More priests?"
Jack: "No. Buried. I put a chest down a... while ago, in case of emergency."
Barkeep: "And I suppose you want my washer boy t' go out with a shovel looking for yer pirate gold? Sorry, but you had yer chance..."
Jack, pointing at the priest: "He'll do it! It won't take a moment."
Barkeep: "Him?"
Priest: "Me?"
Jack, exasperated: "Well, okay, when it's him, maybe it'll take a COUPLE moments."

Scene: Same same, Jack is being backed up against a wall
Jack: "Alright alright, I'll pay you. I really don't wanna punch out a barkeep who serves proper beer."
Barkeep, grinning and lowering his club: "Oh, I figgerd you'd come around. You seem like a decent fellow, and no mistake."
Jack: "Thing is... I don't have any money with me right now..."
The club comes straight back up.

Jack: "Look, just send your washer-boy along to the temple up over yonder, give the priest a note from me, he'll pay ya right out."
The barkeep is sceptical.

Scene: Some seedy tavern
Jack waltzes right in, sits down next to a big tough warrior-type, yells at the barkeep
Jack: "Oy! Beer! And not the watered-down swill mr. Ugly here next to me is drinking!"
Mr. Ugly clearly doesn't like being called by his last name (or being called "mister"), and he gives Jack a VERY nasty look indeed.

Thor, Hammer-Bride (cont'd) Loki (and Odin had been careful to make sure of it) was not in much condition to cause trouble, however, after being dragged a hundred miles by the folds of his cloak. Odin's wolves, Gere and Freke, can run almost as fast as Sleipner, you see, and being wolves had happily dragged poor Loki through brambles, brush and nettles. And Loki had barely managed to stand up without immediately falling down again before he was seized about the neck by Thor's giant hand and pulled off the ground.
"WHERE'S MY HAMMER!? WHAT DID YOU DO WITH IT!? IF I DON'T HAVE IT BACK I'LL WRING YOUR NECK YOU FILTHY LITTLE SNAKE!"

Thor, Hammer-Bride (WIP) It was one fateful morning that the God of Thunder awoke to find his hammer gone. Now, if it was you or me who'd lost our hammers, we'd get our breakfast, put on some clothes and wander down to the shops and buy another one. But this particular hammer was Mjölnir, which could break mountains and call lightning from the sky. The giants of the Outlands, the Jotun, called it Crusher and were terrified of it.

So, shouting and stomping like an angry bull, the God of Thunder - who by the way has been named both Thror and Tír and Dunner, Asa-Brag, Hardveur, Ennilang, Rym and Vingthor among many others. This is because he has lived a long Thor, Hammer-Bride (WIP) by *Skyen
The Universe in an empty jar of jam - danish Det var omkring september at han fangede Universet i en tekop. Det havde banket imod indersiden af ruderne i hans stue i et helt kvarter og irriteret ham, i et forgæves forsøg på at komme ud. Så han tog en tekop og fangede det mod glasset, og stak et postkort fra hans tante under koppen. Universet summede panisk under porcelænet mens han åbnede et vindue for at slippe det fri.
Vinduet bandt, og med en uforsigtig armbevægelse røg kop og postkort og hele Universet på gulvet, og porcelænet gik i smadder; og det tog ham en evighed at få fanget Universet igen i et syltetøjsglas.
